Claude prompts for presentations
These templates help you create HTML presentations with Claude that present cleanly. Replace the parts in square brackets and copy the prompt with one click.
How to use the prompts
Start with “Create a presentation”, then work step by step: notes, timing, builds, design. Always give Claude the current HTML file. Finally, have the presentation checked and open it in presenthtml.
The templates
Create a presentation
Create a presentation on [TOPIC] for [AUDIENCE], about [MINUTES] minutes long, as a single self-contained HTML file. Technical: - Each slide is a <section class="slide">; the visible slide also has the class "active". - Next with right arrow, space bar and Page Down; back with left arrow and Page Up (keydown on document). - 16:9 format, designed for 1920 × 1080 and scaled proportionally. - Every slide has a heading (h1 or h2). - No external files: embed images, use system fonts. Content: at most [NUMBER] slides, one key message per slide, little text.
Add speaker notes
Add speaker notes as bullet points to every slide. Format:
Each slide is its own element (e.g. <section class="slide">). The notes
go INSIDE that slide element as
<aside class="notes"><ul><li>Bullet point</li>…</ul></aside>.
Hide them with CSS: aside.notes { display: none; }.
Optionally add a short intro sentence as <p> before the list.
Plan speaking time per slide
Plan the speaking time for a total of [MINUTES] minutes. For every slide, add the estimated time as the first bullet point in the notes, e.g. “approx. 2 min”. If the total doesn’t fit, suggest which slides to shorten.
Add builds
Add builds: bullet points appear one after another. The right arrow first reveals the next point and only then moves to the next slide. The left arrow hides the most recently revealed point. Revealed points get the class "visible". Return the complete file.
Start from existing material
Here is my material (outline, text or the content of a PowerPoint presentation): [PASTE MATERIAL] Turn it into an HTML presentation following these rules: one HTML file, each slide a <section class="slide"> with a heading, arrow-key navigation, 16:9. Keep numbers exactly and mark missing information with [?].
Make it calm and readable
Revise the design: at most two typefaces, body text at least 32 px at 1920 × 1080, high contrast, one accent color [COLOR], generous margins, no walls of text. Keep content and notes unchanged.
Check the presentation
Check this HTML presentation: do the arrow keys, space bar, Page Up and Page Down work? Is every slide its own <section class="slide"> with a heading? Are the notes hidden as <aside class="notes"> inside each slide? Does the file load anything from the internet that would be missing offline? Fix any problems and return the complete file.
